Description:

Promising Futures is a small nonprofit organization committed to serving our East County communities since 1989 by providing unparalleled day program and residential services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are looking for a compassionate and reliable QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) / Administrator to lead our residential program and assist with the supervision of a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSP).

Your small and dedicated team provides direct care and supervision to fifteen (15) clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in three (3) beautiful ICF/DD-H homes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with applicable coursework in the social services field AND two (2) years professional experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Supervisory/leadership experience a must
  • Knowledge of procedural requirements for the successful operation of ICF/DD-H licensed residential facilities
  • QIDP certification or willingness and ability to obtain QIDP certification
  • Valid CA Driver License with acceptable driving record and own vehicle with working seatbelts
  • At least 18 years old
  • Ability to pass prescreening exams and background check
  • CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire

A Typical Day Might Include

  • Hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, evaluation and supervision of direct care staff
  • Facilitate regular in-service meetings and on-site trainings, including medical, programmatic, Crisis Prevention and Intervention, etc.
  • Develop and implement ISPs, new client skill programs, behavior intervention plans, and individualized objectives
  • Liaison with all community partners and stakeholders, including families and caseworkers
  • Develop effective policy changes to ensure consumer rights to safety, dignity, and quality of care
  • Review and prepare reporting requirements, including for Medi-CAL and San Diego Regional Center billing
  • Analyze documentation and conduct regular audits
  • Coordinate staff schedule and be on-call to provide coverage fulfilling direct care staff responsibilities as needed
  • Implement CCL licensing requirements, uphold Title 22/17 regulations, and be a policy champion and enforcer

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $58,240.00 - $68,240.00 per year
