The Service Advisor/Manager oversees our growing service department.  The goal of the service department is to provide provide the highest level of service to customers in the field for all types of spa equipment repair, including heater calls, plumbing, electrical, automation, measuring for covers, startups, etc.

Time management and attention to detail is a must.  

Job Duties: (Listed but not limited to)

  1. Manage operations of the technical service department
  2. Maintain a work schedule for the service technicians
  3. Insure the service techs follow company procedures in carrying out their duties
  4. Meet the service/maintenance needs of customers
  5. Assist customer on the phone with their water care needs for the hot tub.
  6. Provide the customer with accurate information on the use and application of all products sold by the company
  7. Schedule timely, effective repairs in response to customer needs and inquiries
  8. Utilize good judgment in satisfying customer service requests or complaints
  9. Ensure all ongoing customer issues are resolved immediately
  10. Oversee the parts inventory systems to ensure accuracy and availability of parts to meet the customers’ needs:
  11. Ensure the service techs maintain service work orders
  12. Ensure parts inventory accuracy with inventory counts
  13. Review and educate employees for proper handling of chemical products
  14. Ensure service department is staffed adequately
  15. Train staff on product knowledge, water testing, customer service, safety regulations

Job Requirements:

1. 2 years or more experience in service department management preferred

2. 2 or more years’ experience in the pool/spa industry in a service technician role preferred

Other Requirements:

1. Candidate is required to have solid computer skills in a Windows environment including proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook

2. Complete understanding of manufacturers online resources

3. Strong customer orientation

4. 3‐5 years of managing others and possess excellent supervisory skills

5. Excellent communication skills

6. Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn

7. Able to lift up to 50 pounds

8. Attend training seminars. Some overnight travel may be required

9. Valid driver’s license required (Must be 21 to operate a company vehicle)

10. Must attend seminars, vendor schools, and/or training as needed.
