Belmont Park's s mission is to create the iconic San Diego beachfront experience through family memories, genuine service, and endless fun.

The Ticket Seller will support our mission by ensuing that each guest at Belmont Park receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment and delivering a prompt, courteous and knowledgeable customer service both in person and over the phone.

What will you do?

  • Use Point of Sale System (POS).
  • Sell tickets, wristbands and merchandise to park Guests using POS System.
  • Correctly account for and apply discounts, specials and vouchers to our products.
  • Heavy cash handling.
  • Able to work fast and efficiently while still maintaining excellent guest service.
  • Suggest products to our guests to maximize their experience at the park.
  • Check heights and inform guests of rides and attractions available to their children.
  • Knowledge of height restrictions, chaperone opportunities and any other safety requirements for every ride and attraction.
  • Host Birthday parties: help with order taking, delivery and serving of food, set up and cleanup of party area.
  • Clean and organize merchandise area, making Lead aware of items that need to be stocked.
  • Answer phones and provide directions to Park and other Park related information as needed.
  • Route phone calls from employees to designated personnel, such as maintenance, lead or manager using a radio.
  • Provide Guests of the park with excellent Guest Service.
  • Monitor and respond to inappropriate/unsafe Guest behavior.
  • Keep up to date on all park related items, i.e. hours of operation, events, specials, etc.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Conform to company grooming standards.
  • Maintain a high level of professional conduct.
  • Check Museum/ticket sales areas for safety hazards.
  • Keep workstation clean and organized.
  • Utilize proper cleaning supplies on all surfaces.
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations as trained.
  • Follow verbal and written directions to perform specific duties.
  • Attend team meetings.
  • Remain flexible when/if relocated to a different department.
  • Enforce guests and employees of safety hazards and park rules/regulations in a positive and courteous manner.
  • Prepare workstation for opening and closing routines each day.
  • Keep supervisors/managers informed of situations such as concerns with accidents, damages and potential safety hazards.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to follow safety practices and be safety conscious.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle difficult guest service situations and solve basic problems.
  • Ability to deal with guests in a friendly yet firm manner.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to guests to give instructions and directions.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand/walk up to eight hours at a time
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to move equipment which would include pushing, pulling, stooping and shoving, and bending.
  • Able to work outdoors may be exposed to a variety of weather conditions such as rain, cold temperatures, direct sunlight high heat, and humidity.
  • Able to work in a noisy environment.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Able to properly handle small computers. (Scanners)
